YOGA MIDLOTHIAN

YOGA & MEDITATION

Our main goal at Yoga Midlothian is to restore balance in your body & mind.  We teach Ashtanga style yoga & Yin yoga. We tailor our class to each individual and welcome anyone from complete beginners to very experienced.

In our Ashtanga style yoga classes we follow a sequence of postures which builds in intensity as we move through them focusing on our energy and breath.  It's a dynamic style of yoga, challenging your body and mind.  While it is a physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace.

 

In Yin Yoga we hold postures for a longer time, stretching and stimulating deeper connective tissues, which increases mobility and flexibility.  Yin yoga also promotes healthier organ function through increased circulation.  The magic of Yin is really in the stillness of longer held poses which quiet & calm the mind, and the awareness of breath throughout the practice which reduced stress and anxiety.  As part of each session we also include a short meditation.

 

We are a team of two yoga instructors – Carol & Angela - who met whilst carrying out Yin & Wellbeing teacher training.   We have taken training sessions together and have had amazing feedback so thank you to all our students so far! I’ve struggled to find a class I enjoyed so gave Yin Yoga ago, it’s definitely the yoga for me, I go home feeling calm and relaxed, and always have the best nights sleep afterwards.

I would 100% recommend them, whether you’ve been to yoga classes before of you’re a complete beginner to yoga, it’ll be your best hour of your week.
